Comer claimed that the briefing proved the committee&#8217;s investigation was on to something and must be pursued further. However, Ranking member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) claimed the opposite, stating that the briefing showed no factual basis for the allegations against Biden.<\/p>\n<p>The White House issued a response denouncing Comer&#8217;s statement as without basis and echoing Raskin&#8217;s comments. &#8220;As Sen. Grassley admitted, they aren\u2019t \u2018interested in whether or not the accusations are accurate,\u2019 which rings even truer now that it\u2019s been publicly reported that the Trump administration\u2019s Justice Department looked into this claim three years ago and found nothing credible,&#8221; added Sams.<\/p>\n<h3>Comer&#8217;s Allegations<\/h3>\n<p>Comer claimed that the FBI briefing suggested that the Biden family was involved in money laundering. &#8220;The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/reality-tv-can-serve-a-purpose-but-last-week-it-failed\/\" title=\"Reality TV Can Serve A Purpose, But Last Week, It Failed\">claims made<\/a> in the document are consistent with what we found and disclosed to you all in Romania,&#8221; he said, referring to information he revealed last month suggesting several Biden family members had engaged in criminal activity. &#8220;It suggests a pattern of bribery where payments would be made through shell accounts and multiple banks. There\u2019s a term for that: It\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oversight-leaders-comer-and-raskin-leave-fbi-biden-briefing-with-countering-conclusions\/\" title=\"Comer and Raskin have different conclusions after FBI Biden briefing.\">called money laundering<\/a>,&#8221; he continued.<\/p>\n<h3>Raskin&#8217;s Response<\/h3>\n<p>Raskin backed up the White House&#8217;s response, stating that there was no factual basis for the allegations against Biden, so the FBI had chosen not to pursue an investigation. &#8220;What we\u2019re talking about here is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/comer-demands-access-to-biden-document-after-fbi-fails-to-comply-with-subpoena\/\" title=\"Comer requests Biden document access after FBI ignores subpoena.\">confidential human source reporting<\/a> a conversation with someone else. So what we\u2019re talking about is secondhand hearsay.
