(This writer is a firm believer in leaving the planet in better shape than the way it was found, but not at the active expense of its citizens.)<\/p>\n<p>But one of the less acknowledged issues of the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/finally-know-greta-thunbergs-climate-agenda-teen-activist-goes-off-rails-book-launch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">green<\/a>\u201d movement is the outsized sense of self-importance it gives to people who haven\u2019t the slightest clue of how to actually be a productive member of society.<\/p>\n<p>These are, frankly, useless people who probably would be rotting away in some other fetishized existence if not for this grand call to \u201cSAVE THE PLANET.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arm these dolts with a completely misplaced \u201cpurpose\u201d like \u201csaving the world,\u201d and you have the formula for producing the kind of mental gymnastics needed to equate petty property damage with altruism.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Case in point: Did you know that there is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pro-trump-marine-goes-off-on-dc-police-after-they-mace-stop-the-steal-protesters-we-had-your-fing-back-but-we-aint-got-your-back-no-more\/\" title=\"Pro-Trump Marine Goes Off on DC Police After They Mace Stop the Steal Protesters, \u2018We Had Your F***ing Back, But We Ain\u2019t Got Your Back No More!\u2019\">entire group<\/a> of crusaders dedicated to deflating the tires on certain vehicles? You know, because that\u2019s such a noble cause.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This merry band of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/find-tires-deflated-threatening-note-left-behind-mean\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">petty criminals<\/a> call themselves the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/tyreextinguishers.com\/news?slug=first-action-in-boston-massachusetts-43-suvs-disarmed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tyre Extinguishers<\/a>\u201d (though they also go by \u201cThe Tire Extinguishers\u201d) and think that by deflating the tires to your car, they are going to save the planet.<\/p>\n<p>Why? The \u201cExtinguishers\u201d themselves <a href=\"https:\/\/tyreextinguishers.com\/why-are-you-doing-this\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">explain<\/a>: \u201cSUVs and 4x4s are a disaster for our health, our public safety and our climate. Bigger and bigger <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/foreign-electric-vehicle-manufacturer-recalls-entire-first-batch-cars-shipped-us-serious-safety-issue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cars<\/a> are dominating our towns and cities, and all so a privileged few can flaunt their wealth. Because governments and politicians have failed to protect us from this danger, we must protect ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to make it impossible to own a huge polluting 4\u00d74 in the world\u2019s urban areas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do this by deflating the tyres of these massive, unnecessary vehicles, causing inconvenience and expense for their owners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As with all cartoonish villains, these hoodlums have a bit of a calling card, leaving behind this <a href=\"https:\/\/tyreextinguishers.com\/_next\/static\/american-english-af6efa4646daed006f48.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">leaflet<\/a> to their victims, with this patronizing message: \u201cWe have deflated one or more of your tires. You\u2019ll be angry, but don\u2019t take it personally. It\u2019s not you, it\u2019s your car.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe did this because driving around urban areas in your massive vehicle has huge consequences for others.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Why This is a Problem<\/h3>\n<p>First, on a purely logistical level, this move is self-defeating. So you\u2019ve stranded someone at their home with a disabled vehicle. Great. Now what?<\/p>\n<p>Assuming this victim still has a life to go about, they will likely call a tow truck or some sort of roadside service to put air back in the tire. That\u2019s another vehicle that may not have been in use at all that these \u201cactivists\u201d are forcing onto the roads. Then, the victim can go about their original business, \u201cpolluting\u201d the environment just the same anyhow.<\/p>\n<p>Second, do these nitwits realize that not everyone is a secluded loner in their mother\u2019s basements like they (probably) are? Normal, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/extremist-group-disabling-cars-across-america-dozens-of-vehicles-hit-at-once-delusional-leaflets-left-at-scene\/\" title=\"Extremist group disables cars in America, leaves delusional leaflets at scene. Dozens of vehicles targeted simultaneously.\">socially acclimated adults eventually<\/a> have these things called \u201cfamilies,\u201d which can sometimes grow to include three, four, heck, seven members at a time.<\/p>\n<p>Pray tell, how exactly should a family of five function with a gas-efficient two-seater? That idiotic leaflet from the \u201cExtinguishers\u201d calls SUVs \u201cunnecessary, and pure vanity,\u201d really exposing how hopelessly single these frauds most likely are.<\/p>\n<p>Third, there\u2019s the small matter of the legality of all of this. Entering private property to damage someone\u2019s vehicle is not exactly sitting in a murky gray legal area.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s illegal. Plain and simple. (Also, if these victims are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ccp-agents-reportedly-operating-covert-police-operations-in-the-u-s-canada-and-europe\/\" title=\"CCP Agents Reportedly Operating Covert Police Operations in the U.S., Canada, and Europe\">filing police reports<\/a>, that\u2019s yet another potential vehicle hitting the road thanks to these antics.)<\/p>\n<p>Disconcertingly, these thugs are still very much active.<\/p>\n<p>Their website denotes that as recently as April, they\u2019ve been hitting vehicles with this nonsense (they\u2019re still very active on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/T_Extinguishers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>, as well). The April assault saw 43 SUVs in Boston get flattened tires, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/climate-activists-deflate-tires-of-43-suvs-on-beacon-hill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They hit over 50 vehicles in Portland in October 2022, per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kgw.com\/article\/news\/crime\/tires-slashed-more-than-50-vehicles-northeast-portland\/283-fd62c287-f6cd-4e93-b96e-3a873f49157c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KGW<\/a>. And <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/climate-activists-expand-tire-slashing-operation-nyc-cities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> noted that they\u2019ve tagged vehicles in all manner of major cities, from Chicago to San Francisco.<\/p>\n<h3>Stay Vigilant<\/h3>\n<p>So if you happen to drive an SUV or a 4\u00d74, please be extra vigilant.<\/p>\n<p>Hoodlums who have far less productive things to do than you do are hunting for them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The blind eye governing the world&#8217;s shift to &#8220;green&#8221; policies has many problems.
