But increasingly, I feel a little duped. When you start to drill into the facts, electric motoring doesn\u2019t seem to be quite the environmental panacea it is claimed to be,&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Rowan Atkinson, best known for his role as Mr. Bean, has recently expressed his concerns about the environmental impact of electric vehicles. In an op-ed for the Guardian, he detailed how he has &#8220;enjoyed&#8221; his time with his electric vehicles but believes they are not as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/a-conservatives-crusade-to-save-americas-soil\/\" title=\"A Conservative\u2019s Crusade to Save America\u2019s Soil\">environmentally friendly<\/a> as advertised.<\/p>\n<h3>Hurricane Season 2023: Everything You Should Know<\/h3>\n<p>The British actor brings up a proposal by the U.K. government to ban the sale of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/3-recent-failures-of-green-energy-policies\/\" title=\"3 Recent Failures of Green Energy Policies\">gas-powered cars<\/a> by 2030 but cautions against such measures due to the current shortcomings of electric vehicles, including the batteries required to power them.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The problem lies with the lithium-ion batteries fitted currently to nearly all electric vehicles: they\u2019re absurdly heavy, many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-odonnell-what-the-founders-can-teach-us-about-supply-chains-and-dependency\/\" title=\"Exclusive--O'Donnell: What the Founders Can Teach Us About Supply Chains and Dependency\">rare earth metals<\/a> and huge amounts of energy are required to make them, and they only last about 10 years. It seems a perverse choice of hardware with which to lead the automobile\u2019s fight against the climate crisis,&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Atkinson discusses how a future for hydrogen energy and a shift toward people keeping the same car for long periods of time can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mr-bean-star-rowan-atkinson-says-he-feels-duped-by-electric-vehicles\/\" title=\"Rowan Atkinson, the star of Mr. Bean, feels deceived by electric cars.\">make electric vehicles environmentally friendly replacements<\/a> for gas-powered cars.<\/p>\n<p>He concludes by saying that electric propulsion will be of real, global environmental benefit one day, but that day has yet to dawn.
