What a way to start the day <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/chase?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#chase<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/chasebank?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#chasebank<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 ya boi noah (@noah_allred) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/noah_allred\/status\/1664751014224748544?\">June 2, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Not only was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/report-finds-blame-flight-cancellations-not-weather\/\">technology<\/a> failing, efforts to connect to a human were rewarded with wait times that came close to an hour, Fox reported.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-12152491\/Chase-website-customers-payments-TWICE.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.K. Daily Mail<\/a>, the website Downdetector indicated the\u00a0Chicago, New York City,\u00a0Los Angeles\u00a0and Dallas regions had the worst of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re sorry that some customers are seeing duplicate transactions and fees on their checking account. Point being this happens to even<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 SaitaRealty Blessed (@FREE_ME_718) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FREE_ME_718\/status\/1664626564078632961?\">June 2, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Customers Not Liable for Errors<\/h3>\n<p>Consumers are not liable for errors made in their accounts due to the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/brianbushard\/2023\/06\/02\/chase-bank-says-customers-seeing-duplicate-fees-and-transactions\/?sh=26c9214666c7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forbes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In March, customers of Wells Fargo Bank suffered an unpleasant surprise when they found out that had\u00a0incorrect balances \u2014 often due to direct deposits that were not recorded \u2014 and missing transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Wells Fargo spokesman Josh Dunn said customers\u2019 money was still there, even though it does not appear to be, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlotteobserver.com\/news\/business\/banking\/article272975790.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Charlotte Observer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Wells Fargo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/check-bank-account-money-may-missing-major-bank-suffers-problem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">alerted customers<\/a> with a message greeting them as they logged in to check their accounts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you see incorrect balances or missing transactions, this may be due to a technical issue and we apologize.
