Some conservatives are now calling for a boycott of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/restaurants-cut-surf-and-turf-specials-from-menus-amid-record-levels-of-inflation\/\" title=\"Restaurants Cut Surf and Turf Specials from Menus amid Record Levels of Inflation\">popular restaurant chain<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cChick-fil-A restaurants have long been recognized as a place where people know they will be treated well. Modeling care for others starts in the restaurant, and we are committed to ensuring mutual respect, understanding, and dignity everywhere we do business.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>DEI is a set of principles that many large corporations, government agencies, and schools have incorporated into their work environments. However, critics argue that these principles are rooted in Marxism and are essentially vehicles for \u201cleft-wing racialist ideology and partisan political activism.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Conservatives Call for Action<\/h3>\n<p>Conservative voices on social media have been quick to call for action. Joey Mannarino, a conservative host, wrote on Twitter: \u201cChick-Fil-A just hired a VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This is bad. Very bad. I don\u2019t want to have to boycott. Are we going to have to boycott?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Columnist Todd Starnes added: \u201cWell, that explains the fried cauliflower sandwiches and kale salad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>James Lindsay, a prominent critic of DEI, agreed with the boycott calls and made demands. \u201cWe must demand that Chick-fil-A fire their entire ESG and Sustainability staff and partners (including DEI),\u201d he wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n<h3>Chick-fil-A\u2019s Religious Values<\/h3>\n<p>Chick-fil-A has been generally well respected among conservatives due to the company\u2019s religious values and its prior support for religious groups. However, the recent DEI announcement has caused concern among some conservative customers.<\/p>\n<p>In recent weeks, a number of companies have faced backlash for embracing what critics say are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-cheerleading-visas-russia-ban-is-a-recipe-for-disaster-2\/\" title=\"Why Cheerleading Visa\u2019s Russia Ban Is A Recipe For Disaster\">left-wing values<\/a> or a pro-LGBT agenda. Bud Light, for example, has seen significant backlash after producing a beer can with transgender activist and influencer Dylan Mulvaney\u2019s face.<\/p>\n<p>The Epoch Times has contacted Chick-fil-A for comment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>target for boycotts by some conservatives due to the company&#8217;s stance on LGBTQ+ issues.
