He was hospitalized on March 29 due to an undisclosed medical issue and passed away on May 16, 2023, at a hospital in Oceanside, California, as he was awaiting trial.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAguirre had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/suspected-child-molester-dies-after-being-hospitalized-for-weeks-while-in-custody\/\" title=\"Suspected child molester dies in custody after weeks in hospital.\">extensive medical issues unrelated<\/a> to his incarceration, and had been hospitalized since March 29, 2023,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/emergency-wisconsin-lawsuit-to-stop-certification-challenges-nearly-160000-votes\/\" title=\"Emergency Wisconsin Lawsuit To Stop Certification Challenges Nearly 160,000 Votes\">news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Aguirre, who resided in the community of Spring Valley, was arrested on Dec. 16, 2021, by the department\u2019s Fugitive Task Force and had been charged with four counts of oral copulation with a victim under the age of 10 and with 11 counts of lewd lascivious acts with a child under 14 with force. Fifteen of his sex crimes charges were felonies.<\/p>\n<h3>Investigation Underway<\/h3>\n<p>His death is under investigation by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/minnesota-governor-calls-in-national-guard-ahead-of-trial-over-george-floyds-death\/\" title=\"Minnesota Governor Calls In National Guard Ahead Of Trial Over George Floyd\u2019s Death\">county medical examiner\u2019<\/a>s office, which explains on its website it could be later this year before an official cause of death is determined, which it attributed to a backlog of cases.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The sheriff\u2019s office also said it made a family liaison officer available to Aguirre\u2019s loved ones.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The sheriff\u2019s office is also conducting its own investigation. Aguirre was the fifth inmate to die while in the custody of the San Diego Sheriff\u2019s Office in 2023. The Union-Tribune reported 19 people died while in custody in the county in 2022.<\/p>\n<h3>Condolences to the Family<\/h3>\n<p>The department extended sympathies to the man\u2019s family and anyone it said might have been \u201caffected by his death.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/suspected-human-smuggling-operation-turns-deadly-off-san-diego-coast\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Western Journal<\/a> reported that Aguirre was scheduled to face trial later this month.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Despite the charges against him, Aguirre was entitled to due process and a fair trial.
