However, it looks like the debt-ceiling fight might end up costing him the speaker\u2019s gavel.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/congress\/far-right-members-unhappy-debt-deal-float-threatening-mccarthys-speake-rcna86797\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a>, House conservatives are considering using a parliamentary tactic to attempt to remove McCarthy over their unhappiness with the deal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-mccarthy-come-initial-debt-ceiling-agreement-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he has worked out<\/a> with President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>On a conference call Monday night with fellow members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, Republican Rep. Almost as soon as it was announced on Saturday, some took to social media to blast the package.<\/p>\n<p>In a Twitter post, Rep.
