Liz Cheney is set to give a graduation speech at her alma mater, Colorado College, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/matthew-peterson-conservatives-stop-giving-money-to-people-who-hate-you\/\" title=\"Matthew Peterson: Conservatives, Stop Giving Money to People Who Hate You\">elite liberal arts college<\/a> in Colorado. The event has sparked questions about her political future and her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/saudi-arabia-conducts-one-of-its-largest-mass-executions-in-years\/\" title=\"Saudi Arabia Conducts One Of Its Largest Mass Executions In Years\">unwavering stance<\/a> against Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI feel very strongly about where the country needs to go, and I feel very strongly about how important it is that Donald Trump not be president ever again,\u201d Cheney said at a March forum at Boston College.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Cheney is expected to touch on themes similar to those she has promoted since leaving office in January, including her work on the House January 6 Select Committee that investigated the U.S. Capitol incursion and standing up to the threat she believes Trump poses to democracy.<\/p>\n<h3>Could Cheney Enter the 2024 GOP Presidential Primary?<\/h3>\n<p>Cheney\u2019s busy speaking schedule and subject matter have fueled speculation about whether she may enter the 2024 GOP presidential primary. While other potential candidates have calibrated their remarks about Trump, Cheney has embraced anti-Trump messaging to the same extent as no other Trump challenger.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThough she would face an uphill battle, Cheney\u2019s fierce anti-Trump stance and her role as vice chairwoman of the Jan. 6 Select Committee elevated her platform high enough to call on a national network of donors and Trump critics to support a White House run,\u201d reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/liz-cheneys-latest-move-major-hint-next\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Western Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A super PAC organized to support her candidacy has remained active, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/liz-cheney-urges-graduates-not-to-compromise-with-the-truth-in-commencement-speech\/\" title=\"Liz Cheney advises graduates to uphold truth in speech.\">including purchasing attack ads<\/a> on New Hampshire airwaves against Trump this month.<\/p>\n<h3>Cheney\u2019s Speaking Tour<\/h3>\n<p>After leaving office and being replaced by a Trump-backed Republican who defeated her in last year\u2019s primary, Cheney was appointed to a professorship at the University of Virginia and wrote \u201cOath and Honor,\u201d a memoir scheduled to hit shelves in November.<\/p>\n<p>Cheney graduated from Colorado College in 1988 and the Colorado Springs school is also her mother Lynne\u2019s alma mater. Cheney also is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School.<\/p>\n<p>Students at Colorado College offered mixed reactions when she was named commencement speaker in March, including some who staged a small protest over her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/liz-cheney-gives-speech-at-elite-institution-is-she-preparing-for-a-2024-presidential-run\/\" title=\"Liz Cheney's Speech at Elite Institution: A 2024 Presidential Run in the Works?\">pre-incursion voting record<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cheney\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-u-s-college-groups-have-assisted-a-designated-terrorist-org\/\" title=\"Report: U.S. College Groups Have Assisted A Designated Terrorist Org\">speaking tour<\/a> appears to be picking up.
