Despite this, McCarthy remains optimistic that an agreement will be reached by the June 5 deadline.<\/p>\n<p>The deal is expected to be relatively short, with McCarthy stating that it will be \u201c150 pages or less.\u201d He has also promised that lawmakers will have three days to read the text of the legislation before voting on it.<\/p>\n<h3>McCarthy Unfazed by Potential Disapproval<\/h3>\n<p>McCarthy is not concerned about the likelihood that the deal will be disliked by members of both parties. He believes that he will still have enough support for the deal to pass.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf your idea is you\u2019re going to put a bill on the floor but you don\u2019t want anybody to read it, and you want it to pass because you\u2019re afraid they won\u2019t like it, it\u2019s probably not a good product,\u201d said McCarthy. \u201cI\u2019m not fearful of what\u2019s in this bill.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>McCarthy has been in discussions with Senate leaders on how much time they will need to meet the June 5 deadline. He is also working with Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) and other moderate Democrats to cut a deal.<\/p>\n<p>Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen recently revised the <a title=\"Congress Misses Debt Ceiling Deadline, Treasury Starts \u2018Extraordinary\u2019 Cash Saving Measures To Prevent Debt Default\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/congress-misses-debt-ceiling-deadline-treasury-starts-extraordinary-cash-saving-measures-to-prevent-debt-default\/\">debt ceiling deadline<\/a> from June 1 to June 5. Rep.
