At stake is the school\u2019s ability \u2014 any school\u2019s ability \u2014 to restrict spaces such as dormitories and showers to only women.<\/p>\n<p>What was once unthinkable for a Christian college became an all-too-real problem the day Joe Biden was sworn in as president. In one of his first official acts in the Oval Office, Biden signed an executive order that redefined the terms \u201csex,\u201d \u201csexual orientation\u201d and \u201cgender identity.\u201d Three weeks later, Biden\u2019s Department of Housing and Urban Development issued new rules requiring schools to open their women\u2019s dormitories \u2014 showers and all \u2014 to men who \u201cidentify\u201d as women. No exemptions were allowed, even for religious institutions.<\/p>\n<p>But the College of the Ozarks said no. The Christian college, located in Point Lookout, Missouri, filed a lawsuit against Biden and his administration, arguing that the historical interpretation of the Fair Housing Act confirms that \u201csex\u201d means biological sex. You also agree to our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/about\/privacy-policy\/\">Privacy Policy<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/about\/terms-service\/\">Terms of Use<\/a>.\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-results\" style=\"display: none\">\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-results-yes\" style=\"width: 95%\">\n\t\t\tYes: 95% (19 Votes)\n\t\t<\/div>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-results-no\" style=\"width: 5%\">\n\t\t\tNo: 5% (1 Votes)\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In September, a three-judge panel from the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed the case and denied a petition for the matter to be heard by the full court.<\/p>\n<h2>Tiny Christian College Goes on Offensive as Biden Tries Forcing Female Students to Share Dorm Rooms &#8211; Even Showers &#8211; with Men<\/h2>\n<p>A small Christian college in Missouri is taking a stand against the Biden administration\u2019s efforts to force schools to allow biological males who identify as females to share dorm rooms and even showers with biological females.<\/p>\n<p>The College of the Ozarks, a private Christian school with about 1,500 students, filed a lawsuit in April against the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and its secretary, Marcia Fudge, over a directive that would require the school to allow transgender students to live in dorms that correspond with their gender identity.<\/p>\n<p>The college argues that the directive violates its religious beliefs and would force it to violate the privacy rights of its students.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cYoung women shouldn\u2019t be forced to have to change or undress in the presence of men,\u201d ADF senior counsel Julie Marie Blake told The Western Journal on Friday in an online interview.\u00a0\u201cYoung women should not be forced to have men as roommates.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The college and its law firm, Alliance Defending Freedom, have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case, recognizing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/zimbabwes-electric-grid-collapses-causing-nationwide-blackout\/\" title=\"Zimbabwe's Electric Grid Collapses, Causing Nationwide Blackout\">high stakes involved<\/a>.
