George Hill, retired FBI supervisory intelligence analyst<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>House Republicans are launching an investigation into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-plurality-of-independents-dont-trust-doj-or-fbi\/\" title=\"EXCLUSIVE: Plurality Of Independents Don\u2019t Trust DOJ Or FBI\">whistleblower findings<\/a> that Bank of America (BOA) had &#8220;voluntarily&#8221; handed over Jan. 6 bank records to the FBI &#8220;without any legal process.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-probes-bank-of-america-for-giving-jan-6-records-to-fbi\/\" title=\"GOP probes Bank of America for giving Jan. 6 records to FBI.\">78-page whistleblower report released<\/a> by the House Judiciary Committee on May 19, it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/bank-of-america-gave-fbi-access-to-jan-6-bank-records-with-customers-knowledge-whistleblowers_5276671.html\">alleged<\/a> that BOA gave the FBI information about customers who made transactions in the Washington, D.C., area on or near Jan. 6.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Customers who used BOA accounts to purchase a firearm, regardless of when or where the transaction took place, were bumped to the top of that list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Retired FBI supervisory intelligence analyst George Hill told the panel that BOA &#8220;compiled that list&#8221; and &#8220;put anyone who had purchased a firearm during any date&#8221; on top of it.<\/p>\n<p>According to testimony from the special agent in charge of the Boston field office, which received the information, no further action was taken with the information.<\/p>\n<p>Now, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Subcommittee on the Administrative State, Regulatory Reform, and Antitrust Chairman Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) are demanding answers.<\/p>\n<p>In a May 25 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JudiciaryGOP\/status\/1661811380285046787\/photo\/1\">letter<\/a> to BOA CEO Brian Moynihan, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-gop-proposal-would-allow-users-to-sue-social-media-platforms\/\" title=\"New GOP Proposal Would Allow Users to Sue Social Media Platforms\">lawmakers expressed concern<\/a> over these allegations, which they called &#8220;alarming.&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aside from other privacy concerns, they wrote, &#8220;This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-gop-investigating-bank-of-america-for-voluntarily-giving-jan-6-bank-records-to-fbi\/\" title=\"GOP probes Bank of America for giving Jan. 6 bank records to FBI.\">information undoubtedly included private details<\/a>.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>riot, Bank of America had provided the FBI with customers&#8217;
