Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/chip-roy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chip Roy<\/a> (R-TX), a member of the House Freedom Caucus, said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/roy.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/roy.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/roy_hold-the-line-memo_5.24.23_0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">letter<\/a> on Wednesday that his colleagues should continue to push for a deal which includes spending reductions and growth caps, the repeal of multiple Biden administration policies, and elevated work requirements for individuals receiving government assistance.<\/p>\n<p>Members of the House Freedom Caucus have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/house-freedom-caucus-chairman-responds-as-white-house-lobs-spurious-claims-at-spending-cut-proposal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> they would vote to raise the debt ceiling in exchange for a framework that returns expenditures to fiscal year 2022 levels, increases the debt limit only for the next year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/yellen-says-nation-could-face-debt-default-in-less-than-three-weeks\/\" title=\"Yellen warns of possible debt default in under three weeks.\">caps annual spending growth<\/a> at 1% over the next decade, and repeals policies such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-push-for-student-debt-forgiveness-would-cost-taxpayers-millions\/\" title=\"Democrats push for student debt forgiveness, would cost taxpayers millions\">student debt forgiveness<\/a> and increased funds for the IRS.
