According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/exclusive-senator-seeks-to-expose-ccps-authoritarian-ambition\/\" title=\"EXCLUSIVE: Senator Seeks to Expose CCP\u2019s Authoritarian Ambition\">documents recently obtained<\/a> by the Tampa Bay Times, the raid was related to a third party who hacked Fox and passed materials on to Media Matters and Vice.<\/p>\n<p>While Media Matters and Vice are not being criminally investigated over the leaks, the investigation into the leaks is ongoing. One prosecutor has said that it &#8220;may, if properly safeguarded, extend well beyond the specific facts and events described&#8221; in the affidavit that investigators submitted before receiving a warrant to search Burke&#8217;s home.<\/p>\n<p>The leaks themselves consisted of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson joking with staff and speaking candidly to guests. Executives at Fox were concerned by the security implications of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/in-leaked-cnn-interview-rep-ocasio-cortez-says-she-thought-she-faced-rape-at-capitol-riot\/\" title=\"In Leaked CNN Interview, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Says She Thought She Faced Rape At Capitol Riot\">leaked clips<\/a>, which came out shortly after the company unexpectedly fired Carlson.<\/p>\n<p>Burke, who produced content for the Daily Beast that mocked or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fbi-raids-lib-journos-home-in-connection-with-tucker-leaks\/\" title=\"FBI raids journalist's home linked to Tucker leaks.\">criticized conservative video media<\/a>, denied knowing what the raid was about and declined to share the search warrant he was served when interviewed by local media following the raid.<\/p>\n<p>As of writing, the website for Burke&#8217;s media consulting company is down, and Burke has not tweeted since the May 8 raid.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The FBI raided the home of liberal journalist Timothy Burke, former director of video at the Daily Beast, on May 8.
