Watch people\u2019s actions to know if they love you \u2013 not their words.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Roberta Laundrie, Brian Laundrie\u2019s mother, wrote a letter to her son before he and Gabby Petito left for their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fbi-joins-search-for-gabby-petito-travel-bloggers-disappearance-may-be-linked-to-national-park-recent-double-murder\/\" title=\"FBI Joins Search For Gabby Petito, Travel Blogger\u2019s Disappearance May Be Linked To National Park, Recent Double Murder\">cross-country trip<\/a> that began in June 2021. The letter, which was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/warp-speed-advisor-expects-vaccine-to-ship-mid-december-herd-immunity-by-may\/\" title=\"\u2018Warp Speed\u2019 advisor expects vaccine to ship mid-December, \u2018herd immunity\u2019 by May\">made public<\/a> on Wednesday, has gained notoriety for its content. In it, Roberta tells Brian that she will bake him a cake with a file in it if he ends up in jail and that she will show up with a shovel and garbage bags if he needs to dispose of a body. She also included the phrase \u201cburn after reading\u201d after reading a book that Petito had given Brian called \u201cBurn After Writing\u201d and encouraged readers to write letters to themselves before burning them.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the letter being written before Petito was murdered and Brian confessed to killing her, it has been ruled as admissible evidence in the Petito family\u2019s lawsuit against the Laundrie family. The Petito family claims that the Laundries knew their son had killed their daughter and tried to help him evade capture.<\/p>\n<p>Laundrie, 23, is believed to have committed suicide after he went missing following the murder of his fianc\u00e9e Gabby Petito, whom Laundrie admitted to killing, according to the FBI. His remains were found in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in October 2021, and his family\u2019s attorney released the notebook found with his body in June 2022.<\/p>\n<h3>Laundrie\u2019s Confession<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cI ended her life,\u201d Laundrie wrote in the notebook. \u201cI thought it was merciful, that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes I made. I panicked.
