Commissioner Daniel Werfel denies it.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter to the House Ways and Means Committee obtained by Fox News, Werfel stated, \u201cI want to state unequivocally that I have not intervened\u2014and will not intervene\u2014in any way that would impact the status of any whistleblower.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>What the Whistleblower Claims<\/h2>\n<p>Last month, attorney Mark D. Lytle of Nixon Peabody LLP came forward on behalf of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-army-is-training-its-officers-on-gender-identity-while-ukraine-fights-for-its-survival\/\" title=\"U.S. Army Is Training Its Officers on Gender Identity While Ukraine Fights for Its Survival\">unnamed whistleblower<\/a>. In a letter to Congress, Lytle claimed the whistleblower had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jim-jordan-fbi-purging-conservative-employees-retaliating-against-whistleblowers\/\" title=\"Jim Jordan: FBI Purging Conservative Employees, Retaliating Against Whistleblowers\">made protected disclosures<\/a> to various government agencies and would like to disclose to Congress that the IRS is mishandling an \u201congoing and sensitive investigation of a high-profile, controversial subject since early 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lytle\u2019s letter did not identify Hunter Biden by name, but in an interview with Fox News, Sen. Lindsey Graham claimed the whistleblower specifically involved Hunter Biden. The whistleblower advocacy group Empower Oversight, which is supporting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/border-patrol-must-be-fully-vaxxed-by-november-or-lose-their-jobs-whistleblower-claims\/\" title=\"Border Patrol Must Be Fully Vaxxed By November Or Lose Their Jobs, Whistleblower Claims\">whistleblower claims<\/a>, has also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/irs-commissioner-denies-retaliation-against-whistleblower-in-hunter-biden-investigation\/\" title=\"IRS Chief denies revenge on whistleblower in Hunter Biden probe.\">retweeted reports indicating<\/a> the whistleblower claims relate to the president\u2019s son.<\/p>\n<h3>What Retaliation Allegations Say<\/h3>\n<p>Following the initial letter to Congress, Lytle and Empower Oversight President Tristan Leavitt sent another letter to Congress, alleging retaliation against their client.<\/p>\n<p>Lytle and Leavitt said the IRS whistleblower was informed that \u201che and his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/irs-whistleblowers-team-getting-kicked-from-hunter-biden-probe-lawyers-say\/\" title=\"Lawyers claim IRS whistleblower team removed from Hunter Biden investigation.\">entire investigative team<\/a> are being removed from the ongoing and sensitive investigation of the high-profile, controversial subject about which our client sought to make whistleblower disclosures to Congress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The IRS Commissioner, Daniel Werfel, has denied any involvement in retaliation against whistleblowers investigating Hunter Biden.
