Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) called the actions of Republicans \u201creckless\u201d and \u201cirresponsible\u201d as the U.S. government approaches insolvency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe stakes of a default cannot be understated,\u201d Ocasio-Cortez <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/aoc-warns-debt-ceiling-fight-chaos-reckless-irresponsible\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said<\/span><\/a> on CNN Tuesday, suggesting it would bring chaos. \u201cIt\u2019s reckless; it\u2019s irresponsible. It will hurt rural communities; it will hurt urban communities.
