Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson are demanding Special Counsel John Durham disclose why several prominent Russia hoaxers, including a former director and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-joe-biden-slips-and-refers-to-kamala-harris-as-president-elect-saying-quiet-part-out-loud\/\" title=\"WATCH: Joe Biden Slips and Refers to Kamala Harris as \u2018President-Elect\u2019\u2026 Saying \u2018Quiet Part\u2019 Out Loud\u2019?\">deputy director<\/a> of the FBI and several counterintelligence personnel, failed to testify about their roles in a coup against former President Donald Trump and the will of the American people.<\/p>\n<p>Durham\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/storage\/durhamreport.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">306-page report<\/a>, published earlier this month, detailed how Democrat operatives packaged and sold a lie to the all-too-believing Obama administration FBI that Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<p>Missing from the thorough look into Crossfire Hurricane, Grassley and Johnson noted in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/647911165\/Johnson-and-Grassley-Letter-To-Durham-On-FBI-Investigation-Cooperation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">letter<\/a> on Wednesday, were the testimonies of several key <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/18\/spygate-101-a-primer-on-the-russia-collusion-hoaxs-years-long-plot-to-take-down-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spygate<\/a> hoaxers such as <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/02\/16\/comey-admitted-he-had-nothing-to-sufficiently-corroborate-steele-dossier-but-signed-a-spy-warrant-anyway\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">former FBI Director James Comey<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/11\/11\/5-takeaways-from-senate-probing-of-andrew-mccabe-on-the-fbis-faulty-russia-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe<\/a>, the scandal-plagued <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/12\/17\/new-strzok-texts-show-fbi-was-investigating-trump-before-crossfire-hurricane-was-opened\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">former FBI agent Peter Strzok<\/a>, then-assistant director of the FBI Counterintelligence Division <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/07\/why-handwritten-fbi-and-doj-notes-the-special-counsel-just-released-are-huge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bill Priestap<\/a>, disgraced felon and FBI lawyer <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/08\/24\/fbi-lawyers-guilty-plea-suggests-spygate-corruption-goes-way-higher\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kevin Clinesmith<\/a>, and Fusion GPS\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2018\/12\/04\/grassley-fusion-gps-founder-ceo-glenn-simpson-lied-senate-testimony\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lying Glenn Simpson<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn order to better understand what, if any, actions your office took to obtain information from relevant individuals, we request that you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-senators-want-details-from-durham-about-russia-hoaxers-obstruction-of-investigation\/\" title=\"GOP Senators seek information from Durham on Russia hoaxers' obstruction of investigation.\">provide detailed information related<\/a> to the following individuals who apparently declined to fully cooperate with your investigation,\u201d the senators wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the potential witnesses, such as Strzok and Priestap, initially agreed to provide Durham information \u201cconcerning matters related to the FBI\u2019s Alfa Bank investigation\u201d but \u201cotherwise declined to be interviewed \u2026 on matters related to [their] role in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McCabe refused to talk even after Durham \u201coffered to narrow the scope of subjects to be asked about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Information from the people who initiated and signed off on a sham spy campaign against the soon-to-be president based on partisan gossip, the senators agreed, would have proved useful to Durham and the American people.<\/p>\n<p>The senators specifically desired to know whether any of Durham\u2019s 190 subpoenas, which were executed \u201cunder the auspices of grand juries,\u201d and seven search warrants were applied to the reluctant individuals.
