In that way, it\u2019s as good as it can be.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Carter, who is now 98 years old, went into end-of-life care in February after his health declined over the past year. He opted to refuse medical intervention and spend his last days at home. Despite this, he is still <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jimmy-carters-grandson-provides-update-on-his-grandfather-who-has-been-in-hospice-care-for-months\/\" title=\"Jimmy Carter's grandson updates on his grandfather's hospice care.\">enjoying peanut butter ice cream<\/a>, an ode to his \u201cpolitical brand\u201d as a peanut farmer.<\/p>\n<h3>A Legacy of Service<\/h3>\n<p>Born in 1924, Carter served as the 39th president of the United States. He helped broker the Camp David Accords between Egypt and Israel in 1978, bringing peace between the two countries. He was also responsible for normalizing relations between the U.S. and China, severing official diplomatic ties with Taiwan.<\/p>\n<p>After leaving the White House, Carter and his wife founded the Carter Center, an organization that works to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/longtime-ethiopian-diplomat-resigns-in-protest-of-countrys-genocide\/\" title=\"Longtime Ethiopian Diplomat Resigns in Protest of Country\u2019s Genocide\">promote human rights<\/a>, conflict resolution, democracy and political freedoms, and the improvement of public health.
