Well, what he really wants to do is cement a Trump-era executive order into law requiring \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-revokes-trump-anarchist-jurisdictions-order-restores-financing-to-portland-seattle\/\" title=\"Biden Revokes Trump \u2018Anarchist Jurisdictions\u2019 Order, Restores Financing To Portland, Seattle\">classical architecture<\/a>\u201d on all new buildings to make that happen.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/exclusive-banks-introduces-legislation-to-bring-back-trump-order-classical-architecture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> that Banks introduced the \u201cBeautifying Federal Civic Architecture Act.\u201d If signed into law, it would mandate that \u201cclassical architecture; and the historic humanistic architecture, including Gothic, Romanesque, Pueblo Revival, Spanish Colonial, and other Mediterranean styles of architecture historically rooted in various regions of America\u201d be preferred for new federal office designs.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Make Federal Buildings Beautiful Again!<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PatrickHauf?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@PatrickHauf<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/MDqK8RiLzX\">https:\/\/t.co\/MDqK8RiLzX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jim Banks (@RepJimBanks) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepJimBanks\/status\/1661455419317932049?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 24, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Honoring America&#8217;s Heritage<\/h3>\n<p>Banks told Fox News that the bill is ultimately about the culture and honoring America\u2019s heritage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/clarence-thomas-expanding-the-administrative-state-comes-at-the-expense-of-the-constitution\/\" title=\"Clarence Thomas: Expanding The Administrative State Comes At The Expense Of The Constitution\">intentional design<\/a> of some of our greatest landmarks goes back to our Founding Fathers, who knew the importance architecture played in the establishment of American culture,\u201d Banks said to the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Former President Trump originally signed an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-please-create-an-executive-order-and-have-2020-ballots-and-images-audited-in-select-states-using-jovan-pulitzer-method\/\" title=\"President Trump PLEASE CREATE AN EXECUTIVE ORDER and Have 2020 Ballots and Images Audited in Select States Using Jovan Pulitzer Method\">order mandating<\/a> that all new buildings be constructed using a similar framework. Critics argued that his desire for aesthetically-pleasing structures was somehow linked to white supremacy.
