She said Republicans in Congress are &#8220;cool as a cucumber&#8221; ahead of the deadline, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/episode-2755-bidens-plan-for-the-debt-ceiling\/id1485351658?i=1000614341827\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to<\/a> an appearance she made on Steve Bannon&#8217;s <i>War Room <\/i>podcast.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re cool as a cucumber because we aren&#8217;t concerned over it. &#8230; We did our job, we passed a bill that cut $4.8 trillion in spending to raise Joe Biden&#8217;s debt ceiling, and he&#8217;s the one that can&#8217;t come to the table and get it done.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In April, Congress voted 217-215 to pass the Limit, Save, Grow Act, which House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/aoc-claims-mccarthy-lacks-votes-debt-limit-bill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">asked Democrats<\/a> to pass in the Senate so the United States can avoid defaulting on its debt.
