Attorney General Letitia James of \u2018prosecutorial misconduct\u2019\">alleged tax fraud<\/a>, lobbying crimes, and money laundering since 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The younger Biden confirmed that his business deals were being investigated in December 2020 but said at the time that he was \u201cconfident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The letter sent to the IRS chief references an earlier email sent by the now-fired agent to Werfel in which they state that they and their SSA have spent the last few years trying to gain the attention of senior leadership about \u201ccertain issues prevalent regarding the investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have asked for countless meetings with our chief and deputy chief, often to be left out on an island and not heard from,\u201d the email reads. \u201cThe lack of IRS-CI senior leadership involvement is deeply troubling and unacceptable \u2026 [W]hen I said on multiple occasions that I wasn\u2019t being heard and that I thought I wasn\u2019t able to perform my job adequately because of the actions of the USAO and DOJ, my concerns were ignored by senior leadership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ultimate decision to remove the investigatory team \u2026 without actually talking to that investigatory team, in my opinion was a decision made not to side with the investigators but to side with the US Attorney\u2019s Office and Department of Justice,\u201d the email reads.<\/p>\n<h3>\u2018Intimidating Form of Reprisal\u2019<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cIn response to making his good faith expression of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/second-hunter-biden-whistleblower-threatened-for-internal-email-warning-of-irs-corruption\/\" title=\"Another Hunter Biden whistleblower faces threats after exposing IRS corruption in an internal email.\">reasonable concerns\u2014concerns shared<\/a> by our client\u2014the case agent had a right to expect that his email would be taken seriously, considered, and addressed professionally without retribution, as the law requires,\u201d the lawyers wrote of the email sent by the now-fired case agent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead, the IRS responded with accusations of criminal conduct and warnings to other agents in an apparent attempt to intimidate into silence anyone who might <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/second-whistleblower-in-hunter-biden-investigation-claims-retaliation\/\" title=\"Another whistleblower in Hunter Biden probe alleges retaliation.\">raise similar concerns<\/a>,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyers went on to state that in another email, the Assistant Special Agent in charge of the case suggested that the case agent who raised the concerns may have \u201cillegally disclosed grand jury material\u201d in their initial email, a claim they called \u201cutterly baseless and without support in the law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They also said the response to the case agent\u2019s concerns suggests that the individual \u201cmay have been referred for investigation, an even more intimidating form of reprisal likely to chill anyone from expressing dissent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/video-81-year-old-pharmacist-accused-of-trading-drugs-for-sexual-favors\/\" title=\"VIDEO: 81-Year-Old Pharmacist Accused of Trading Drugs for Sexual Favors\">acting special agent<\/a> in charge issued a \u201ccontemporaneous email to supervisors,\u201d including their client, ordering them to \u201cobey the chain of command,\u201d the lawyers said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another IRS agent has claimed retaliation after accusing the Justice Department of interfering with the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden&#8217;s possible tax violations.
