Speaking at an event in Washington, D.C., Clinton acknowledged that Biden&#8217;s age, 80, is a valid concern for voters. If he were to win a second term, he would be 86 at the end of it. Clinton acknowledged that Biden&#8217;s age is a concern, but pointed out that younger presidents have also fallen before without causing alarm. Some of Biden&#8217;s allies have defended him against age anxiety, but GOP hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy has called his re-election campaign a case of &#8220;elder abuse.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Biden&#8217;s Record<\/h3>\n<p>Biden himself has said that his age does not &#8220;register&#8221; with him, and he feels good and excited about the prospects of running again. Clinton, who lost to former President Donald Trump in the 2016 election, believes that Biden is &#8220;determined&#8221; to run again and has a good record that deserves more credit. She hopes that he stays focused and able to compete in the election, as she thinks he can be re-elected.<\/p>\n<h3>Reaction to Clinton&#8217;s Comments<\/h3>\n<p>Jason Miller, an adviser to former President Trump, responded to Clinton&#8217;s comments with a quip, but Clinton&#8217;s remarks have also been taken seriously by those who are concerned about Biden&#8217;s age.
