I&#8217;m embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her. It&#8217;s full of temptations that can cripple you and ruin everything you&#8217;ve built.&#8221; He encouraged others to seek help when they need it and not be afraid of their weaknesses.<\/p>\n<h3>Recent Controversy<\/h3>\n<p>This statement comes just one week after Allen&#8217;s former manager accused him of sexually abusing her for a year. Allen denied these allegations, saying their relationship was consensual.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit, filed in Tennessee on May 11, alleges that Allen &#8220;manipulated and used his power over Plaintiff&#8217;s job to sexually harass and abuse her.&#8221; The suit further states that Allen raped the woman while choking her and took videos of their sexual encounters without her permission, among other incidents.<\/p>\n<p>Allen responded in a statement, saying, &#8220;It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He acknowledged their sexual relationship but said that she never accused him of any wrongdoing during that time.
