Her mother, Alvarez Benedicks, is now speaking out about the tragedy.<\/p>\n<p>According to Benedicks, her daughter was diagnosed with influenza in Brownsville, Texas, and was transferred to the Harlingen station for treatment. However, Benedicks knew there was a larger issue because her daughter had undergone heart surgery three years ago.<\/p>\n<h3>Ignored Pleas for Help<\/h3>\n<p>Benedicks claims that her daughter cried and begged for her life, but was ignored by the Border Patrol agents. &#8220;They killed my daughter, because she was nearly a day and a half without being able to breathe,&#8221; Benedicks said. &#8220;They didn&#8217;t do anything for her.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Alvarez received some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dems-lost-all-credibility-on-social-distancing-after-biden-celebrations\/\" title=\"Dems Lost All Credibility On Social Distancing After Biden Celebrations\">medical attention<\/a>, but it was too little, too late. She passed away before an ambulance was called.<\/p>\n<h3>Investigation Ongoing<\/h3>\n<p>The cause of Alvarez&#8217;s death is still under investigation. Customs and Border Protections reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/migrant-mother-whose-daughter-died-in-custody-says-requests-for-help-were-denied\/\" title=\"Migrant mom denied help after daughter's death in custody.\">emergency medical staff transported<\/a> her to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>This tragedy is not an isolated incident. Alvarez was the second minor to die in Border Patrol custody in the last two weeks and the third this year.
