Additionally, applicants had to have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, such as losing a job, having <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/stimulus-check-update-direct-payment-worth-500-to-be-sent-to-minneapolis-residents-in-six-days\/\" title=\"Minneapolis residents to receive 0 direct payment in six days as stimulus check update.\">higher health expenses<\/a>, or losing access to child care.<\/p>\n<h3>How Can Recipients Use the Payments?<\/h3>\n<p>According to the city&#8217;s website, recipients can spend the $500 payments in whatever way suits them best. This provides much-needed financial support to those who have been impacted by the pandemic and may be struggling to make ends meet.<\/p>\n<h3>Program Demographics<\/h3>\n<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that the majority of program recipients are black, indigenous, or people of color, at 80.5%. Additionally, 69% of recipients are women, and 42.5% are between the ages of 30 and 39.
