Their spokesperson called it a \u2018near-catastrophic car chase.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was at that last line that Goldberg made a skeptical expression, causing laughter from the audience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOthers said it wasn\u2019t bad,\u201d she added. \u201cBut I think people in New York know if it was possible to have car chases in New York, we\u2019d all make it to the theater on time.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Defending the Duke and Duchess<\/h3>\n<p>Co-host Joy Behar appeared to agree with Goldberg, but Sunny Hostin came to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex\u2019s defense and said that \u201cno one ever claimed that there was a high-speed chase, and I think when we think about chases, we think about high-speed chases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the royals originally said, \u201cLast night, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms. Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/grow-up-megyn-kelly-blasts-harry-and-meghans-near-catastrophic-paparazzi-chase\/\" title=\"Megyn Kelly slams Harry and Meghan for dangerous paparazzi pursuit.\">highly aggressive paparazzi<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers,\u201d the statement added. \u201cWhile being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone\u2019s safety.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn Tuesday evening, May 16, the NYPD assisted the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/prince-harry-and-meghan-say-they-were-chased-by-ny-paparazzi-nope-says-their-cab-driver\/\" title=\"NY Paparazzi Chase Prince Harry and Meghan? Cab Driver Disagrees.\">private security team protecting<\/a> the Duke and Duchess of Sussex,\u201d a statement to The Daily Wire from NYPD Deputy Commissioner Public Information Officer Julian Phillips read.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were numerous photographers that made their transport challenging,\u201d the statement added. \u201cThe Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at their destination and there were no reported collisions, summonses, injuries, or arrests in regard.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>What Really Happened?<\/h3>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear what really happened that night, but it\u2019s clear that the story has caused controversy and divided opinions.
