Matt Gaetz (R., Fla.) and former Republican congressman Jason Chaffetz want the FBI to relaunch the probes, three of which began in 2016, over &#8220;possible criminal activity&#8221; by the Clinton Foundation. All the probes were shut down by senior officials in the FBI and Obama administration months before Clinton\u2019s 2016 loss.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Clintons had a team of people at the FBI running interference for them to avoid criminal culpability,&#8221; Gaetz told the Daily Mail.<\/p>\n<p>The revelations were made public in the long-awaited Durham report, the Daily Mail reported:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/shapiro-debunking-systemic-racism-in-the-police-force\/\" title=\"SHAPIRO: Debunking Systemic Racism in the Police Force\">report compared<\/a> the FBI and Justice Department&#8217;s voracious investigation of Trump&#8217;s connections with Russia, to its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-republicans-demand-fbi-reopen-clinton-investigations\/\" title=\"GOP demands FBI reopen Clinton probe.\">allegedly lackluster approach<\/a> to its Clinton probes &#8216;tippy-toeing&#8217; around the former Secretary of State.<\/li>\n<li>Durham reviewed a January 2016 report on the Clinton Foundation by the Little Rock Field Office which found possible evidence that &#8216;large monetary contributions were made to a non-profit, under both direct and indirect control of [a] federal public official, in exchange for favorable government action and\/or influence.&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Durham wrote that the New York and Little Rock Field Offices had &#8216;source reporting that identified foreign governments that had made, or offered to make, contributions to the Foundation in exchange for favorable or preferential treatment from Clinton.&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>And an agent in the Washington Field Office also opened a preliminary probe into the Clintons &#8216;because the Case Agent wanted to determine if he could develop additional information to corroborate the allegations in a recently-published book, Clinton Cash by Peter Schweizer&#8217;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A spokesperson for the Clinton Foundation said the Durham report &#8220;emphasized what&#8217;s been clear for many years\u2014there&#8217;s never been any wrongdoing by the Clinton Foundation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joining Gaetz and Chaffetz, other Republican House members are demanding that the FBI reopen investigations into the Clintons.
