Her decision came on the heels of reports from both the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and Special Counsel (OSC) Henry Kerner, who found that she committed \u201can extraordinary breach of public trust by a senior government official\u201d via \u201crepeated instances of misconduct and poor judgment.\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rollins initiated leaks to tarnish the reputation of one of her political opponents and sabotage his chances in the 2022 election.<\/li>\n<li>She attended a Democratic National Committee fundraising event featuring First Lady Jill Biden on the government\u2019s time and taxpayers\u2019 dime.<\/li>\n<li>Rollins solicited and accepted more than two dozen Boston Celtics tickets and non-federal travel dollars to speak on a panel under the title \u201cU.S. Attorney\u201d without applying proper ethical scrutiny.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These actions resulted in what Kerner called the \u201cmost egregious transgressions\u201d of the Hatch Act the OSC has ever uncovered.<\/p>\n<h3>Election Meddling<\/h3>\n<p>Over the course of the investigation into Rollins\u2019 Department policy and ethical violations, the OIG conducted several December 2022 interviews in which Rollins \u201cknowingly and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-doj-refused-to-prosecute-disgraced-u-s-attorney-rachael-rollins-for-lying-under-oath-months-before-her-corruption-scandal-broke\/\" title=\"Biden's DOJ didn't charge Rachael Rollins for perjury before her corruption scandal.\">willfully\u201d made false statements<\/a> under oath and deliberately \u201clacked [the] candor\u201d required of all DOJ employees.<\/p>\n<p>Rollins specifically denied that she was the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bank-of-america-is-without-the-knowledge-or-the-consent-of-customers-sharing-private-info-with-feds-tucker-carlson-reports\/\" title=\"Bank Of America \u2018Is Without The Knowledge Or The Consent\u2019 Of Customers \u2018Sharing Private\u2019 Info With Feds, Tucker Carlson Reports\">federal law enforcement official<\/a> who leaked a recusal memorandum without authorization to her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/professor-reports-seeing-noose-behind-house-it-was-part-of-a-swing-set\/\" title=\"Professor Reports Seeing \u2018Noose\u2019 Behind House. It Was Part Of A Swing Set.\">local media outlet<\/a>, the Boston Herald, in September 2022. The memo granted Rollins and her office permission to pass a federal review of her district attorney successor Kevin Hayden and her preferred political candidate Ricardo Arroyo\u2019s challenger, to another office.<\/p>\n<p>It was only after the OIG obtained text messages proving that she supplied the document to the Herald that Rollins finally confessed.<\/p>\n<p>The White House previously propped up Rollins for her \u201cdevotion to enforcing the law,\u201d \u201cprofessionalism,\u201d \u201cdedication to pursuing equal justice for all,\u201d and \u201ccommitment to the independence of the Department of Justice.\u201d Republicans, however, warned their colleagues about her during her confirmation hearing in December of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the GOP\u2019s best efforts to prevent Rollins from further abusing her power to contradict the stated mission of the Justice Department, they were smeared by corporate media as \u201cracist\u201d and eventually stifled when Vice President Kamala Harris issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/schumer-dems-will-pass-covid-relief-bill-with-or-without-gop\/\" title=\"Schumer: Dems will pass COVID relief bill with or without GOP\">tie-breaking vote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Good riddance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and co-producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
