Additionally, applicants had to have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, such as losing a job, having higher health expenses, or losing access to child care.<\/p>\n<h3>Program Demographics<\/h3>\n<p>80.5% of program recipients are black, indigenous, or people of color, while the remaining 19.5% are white or non-Hispanic. Women make up 69% of recipients, and 42.5% are between the ages of 30 and 39.
