Jean Carroll and her attorney should stop talking about their case against Donald Trump. The longer they keep their case in the public eye, the longer normal Americans who don\u2019t sit on juries in deep-blue Manhattan will have to question just how credible her story is.<\/p>\n<p>Carroll was awarded $5 million by a federal jury in New York on May 9, which found the now-former president had defamed Carroll when he denied her accusation that he had raped her in a Manhattan department store in the 1990s. Trump filed to appeal the verdict, but Carroll and her attorney, Robbie Kaplan, appeared on MSNBC\u2019s \u201cThe Rachel Maddow Show\u201d instead of pursuing further legal action behind closed doors.<\/p>\n<p>Carroll\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-this-average-american-is-voting-for-donald-trump\/\" title=\"Why This Average American Is Voting for Donald Trump\">social media posts<\/a> about Trump raise questions in any normal person\u2019s mind. In a 2012 post, she called herself a \u201cmassive\u201d fan of Trump\u2019s reality show \u201cThe Apprentice.\u201d In another tweet from the same year, she posed the question: \u201cWould you have sex with Donald Trump for $17,000? (Even if you could A) Give the money to Charity? B) Close your eyes? And he\u2019s not allowed to speak?)\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carroll herself has admitted publishing the comments, so let\u2019s just say they\u2019re extremely odd coming from a woman about a man she claims committed a violent, vile act against her more than a decade before.<\/p>\n<p>The jury deliberated for all of three hours, according to NBC News. To a fair-minded observer of the Carroll-Trump case, the brevity of the deliberations meant the jury had long ago made up its mind that it was going to put the hooks on a politician almost unanimously reviled in Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-accusers-social-media-posts-return-to-light-cast-even-more-doubt-on-her-story\/\" title=\"Trump accuser's social media posts raise more doubts about her story.\">social media posts aren\u2019<\/a>t the only issues that cast doubt on Carroll\u2019s story.
