Adam Schiff Slams Durham Investigation as a Political Witch Hunt<\/h2>\n<p>During an appearance on MSNBC, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) didn&#8217;t <a title=\"UK May Ease CCP Virus Lockdown From March, Foreign Secretary Says\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/uk-may-ease-ccp-virus-lockdown-from-march-foreign-secretary-says\/\">hold back<\/a> in his criticism of the recently concluded Durham investigation. He called it &#8220;flawed from the start&#8221; and claimed that it was initiated solely on the political whim of former President Donald Trump. Schiff went on to say that the investigation had not resulted in any indictments or convictions, which he believed was proof that it had been a waste of time.<\/p>\n<h3>The Flawed Durham Investigation<\/h3>\n<p>Schiff stated that the Durham investigation was flawed from the beginning, as it was initiated due to Trump&#8217;s insistence that he was the target of a political &#8220;<a title=\"Weissmann Lashes Out at Trump Over Manafort, Stone Pardons \u2013 Cooks Up New Plot to Prosecute Them for Perjury and Obstruction\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/weissmann-lashes-out-at-trump-over-manafort-stone-pardons-cooks-up-new-plot-to-prosecute-them-for-perjury-and-obstruction\/\">witch hunt<\/a>.&#8221; Schiff argued that the FBI had a good reason to investigate Trump, while Durham did not have a good reason to investigate the FBI. Despite Durham&#8217;s <a title=\"Schiff claims Durham investigation was biased and flawed.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/schiff-insists-durham-probe-was-political-and-flawed\/\">findings indicating departures<\/a> from proper procedure on behalf of the FBI, Schiff insisted that the Mueller investigation had been rooted in a real crime and was therefore begun with just cause.<\/p>\n<h3>Bottom Line: FBI Had a Good Reason to Investigate \u2013 Durham Didn&#8217;t<\/h3>\n<p>According to Schiff, the Durham investigation was conducted in a flawed manner and resulted in two spectacular failures at trial, ultimately ending with nothing to show for four years of effort. Schiff believes that the investigation was initiated to satisfy Trump&#8217;s political agenda and was therefore flawed from the start.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Schiff believes that the Durham investigation was a waste of time and resources.<\/li>\n<li>He argues that the FBI had a good reason to investigate Trump, while Durham did not have a good reason to investigate the FBI.<\/li>\n<li>Schiff insists that the Mueller investigation was rooted in a real crime and was therefore begun with just cause.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Despite Schiff&#8217;s criticisms of the Durham investigation, he did not go into detail regarding what the &#8220;good reason&#8221; was for the FBI to investigate Trump. Additionally, Lawrence O&#8217;Donnell did not press Schiff on the matter or bring up Schiff&#8217;s previous claims of direct evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia, which were not found during the Mueller investigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rep.
