The European Commission said the transaction was pro-competitive due to Microsoft\u2019s agreement to license popular Activision games such as \u201cCall of Duty\u201d to rival game streaming platforms. Such licenses are \u201cpractical and effective\u201d, European Union antitrust chief Margrethe Vestager told reporters. <\/p>\n<h3>The Battle Continues<\/h3>\n<p>The U.S. software giant still faces a battle to clinch the world\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/microsoft-wins-eu-antitrust-approval-for-activision-deal-vetoed-by-uk\/\" title=\"EU approves Microsoft's Activision deal, UK vetoed.\">biggest gaming industry takeover<\/a>, however. It has until May 24 to appeal a decision by Britain\u2019s Competition &#038; Markets Authority (CMA) to block it. A final decision may take months.
