I\u2019m going to call Director Wray today because we have oversight of the FBI. We have the right,\u201d McCarthy said on the Fox News program \u201cFox &#038; Friends\u201d on May 11.<\/p>\n<h3>Whistleblower Disclosures<\/h3>\n<p>Rep. James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, along with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), revealed in a May 3 letter that they <a title=\"McCarthy to Contact Wray Over FBI's Failure to Provide Alleged Biden Bribery Scheme Document to Congress.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mccarthy-says-hell-call-wray-after-fbi-failed-to-give-congress-document-showing-alleged-biden-bribery-scheme\/\">received \u201chighly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures<\/a>.\u201d The whistleblower\u2019s tip indicated the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI possessed an unclassified document that \u201cdescribes an <a title=\"Grassley warns FBI and DOJ to cooperate with subpoena or risk credibility damage.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senator-grassley-fbi-and-doj-will-damage-their-credibility-further-if-they-dont-cooperate-with-subpoena\/\">alleged criminal scheme involving<\/a> then-vice president Joe Biden and a <a title=\"FBI Director subpoenaed over whistleblower's disclosure of Joe Biden's 'criminal scheme'.\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fbi-director-subpoenaed-after-whistleblower-reveals-criminal-scheme-involving-joe-biden\/\">foreign national relating<\/a> to the exchange of money for policy decisions,\u201d they said in the letter to Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis specific document goes into great detail, the pay-for-play agreement between Joe Biden as vice president, and the policy outcomes that this foreign national wanted,\u201d Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.), a member of the House Oversight Committee, previously told NTD.<\/p>\n<h3>Subpoena and Response<\/h3>\n<p>On May 3, Comer filed a subpoena to Wray seeking an internal form, called an FD-1023, and gave a week for the agency to produce it. In response, Christopher Dunham, the acting assistant director for congressional affairs, wrote a letter (pdf) to Comer on May 10 explaining the FBI\u2019s \u201cconfidentiality interests.\u201d But the agency didn\u2019t turn over any document the House panel requested.<\/p>\n<p>Dunham said the FD-1023 \u201cis used by FBI agents to record unverified reporting from a <a title=\"Wray Declines to Confirm FBI\u2019s Use of Geolocation Data to Track Capitol Rioters But Says It \u2018Would Not Surprise Me\u2019\" href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wray-declines-to-confirm-fbis-use-of-geolocation-data-to-track-capitol-rioters-but-says-it-would-not-surprise-me\/\">confidential human source<\/a>.\u201d The DOJ policy, he noted, \u201cstrictly limits when and how confidential human source information can be provided outside of the FBI.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Comer said the response indicates that the document exists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s clear from the FBI\u2019s response that the unclassified record the Oversight Committee subpoenaed exists, but they are refusing to provide it to the committee,\u201d Comer said in a statement released Wednesday. \u201cWe\u2019ve asked the FBI to not only provide this record but to also inform us what it did to investigate these allegations.
