Amber Booker was arrested after the incident left two people shot, but Gardner&#8217;s office claims there is a &#8220;lack of evidence&#8221; to prosecute.<\/p>\n<p>This decision is just the latest in a string of unpopular moves by Gardner, who has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-ny-gov-cuomo-may-be-prosecuted-over-sexual-misconduct-allegations\/\" title=\"Biden: NY Gov. Cuomo May Be \u2018Prosecuted\u2019 Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations\">faced bipartisan calls<\/a> for her removal. Both of her campaigns were funded by billionaire George Soros, known for supporting far-left prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>In February, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/soros-backed-prosecutor-kim-gardner-resigns\/\" title=\"Kim Gardner, a prosecutor supported by Soros, steps down.\">teenage volleyball player lost<\/a> her legs after being hit by a car driven by a criminal on bond. The man had violated the terms of his bond several dozen times but was not held in custody. In April, Gardner&#8217;s office withheld evidence in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rittenhouse-trial-6-strong-moments-from-defense-team-in-closing-arguments\/\" title=\"Rittenhouse Trial: 6 Strong Moments From Defense Team In Closing Arguments\">double homicide case<\/a>, leading to the suspect being released on bail. And in March, a video emerged of a man executing a homeless man on a St. Louis street, leading to widespread criticism of Gardner&#8217;s handling of crime in the city.<\/p>\n<p>Despite her resignation, Gardner claims that she has been targeted by outside forces seeking to undermine the rights of the city&#8217;s voters. An investigation by Fox News found that 35.8 percent of cases under Gardner&#8217;s supervision in 2020 were not prosecuted.<\/p>\n<p>Gardner&#8217;s resignation comes as Soros-backed prosecutors face backlash across the country. San Francisco&#8217;s former prosecutor, Chesa Boudin, was ousted in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/disgraced-soros-prosecutor-refuses-to-charge-cinco-de-mayo-shooting-suspect\/\" title=\"Soros prosecutor won't charge Cinco de Mayo shooting suspect.\">recall election amid rising crime<\/a> in the city.
