Bryan Freedman, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/a-different-kind-of-gun-grabbing\/\" title=\"A Different Kind of Gun-Grabbing\">high-powered attorney<\/a>, said in a statement to Axios that \u201cthe idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and prevent him from speaking to his audience is beyond preposterous.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Carlson&#8217;s Future at Fox News<\/h3>\n<p>Reports have claimed that Fox News has not fired Carlson and is still keeping him under contract. Carlson has not <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/n-y-gov-cuomo-refuses-to-resign-amid-sexual-harassment-scandal\/\" title=\"N.Y. Gov. Cuomo refuses to resign amid sexual harassment scandal\">publicly addressed<\/a> the matter, and a Fox News spokesperson last week didn\u2019t comment on those reports. Freedman\u2019s comment appears to be the first response Carlson has given in light of these reports.<\/p>\n<h3>Carlson&#8217;s Exit from Fox News<\/h3>\n<p>Carlson has only spoken out once after leaving Fox News, posting a 2-minute video in which he criticized media companies for \u201cactively colluding to shut down\u201d topics that do not benefit corporations or elite members of society. He also lambasted the state of the American media landscape and claimed that few outlets are focusing on topics that actually matter to people and instead choose reports and debates that have limited impact.<\/p>\n<h3>FOXLEAKS and Media Matters<\/h3>\n<p>Left-wing nonprofit Media Matters for America has released what it dubbed \u201cFOXLEAKS,\u201d showing Carlson making behind-the-scenes remarks to staffers\u2014prompting Fox News to issue a cease and desist letter to the group late last week. The letter, sent to Media Matters, said that the footage of Carlson is Fox\u2019s \u201cconfidential intellectual property\u201d and that \u201cFox did not consent to its distribution or publication.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Possible New Ventures for Carlson<\/h3>\n<p>Reports have emerged that Carlson is trying to start or work for another right<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/left-wing-media-watchdog-defends-jennifer-granholms-wealth-after-helping-her-become-a-millionaire\/\" title=\"Left-Wing Media Watchdog Defends Jennifer Granholm\u2019s Wealth After Helping Her Become a Millionaire\">-wing media company<\/a>. Ron DeSantis, a possible 2024 presidential contender, responded to Fox News\u2019 decision to part ways with the host. DeSantis told Newsmax over the weekend that Carlson\u2019s departure was \u201cterrible,\u201d coming about two weeks after the network confirmed the move.
