The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the arrest to ABC Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>Ferguson\u2019s truck flipped on its side and the airbags were deployed. Witnesses claimed to TMZ that he refused to take a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fmr-fla-mayor-charged-with-possession-of-child-pornography\/\" title=\"Fmr Fla. mayor charged with possession of child pornography\">field sobriety test<\/a> and was uncooperative at the scene. They also claimed that Ferguson reeked of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes.<\/p>\n<p>He faces a misdemeanor DUI charge and could also face a license suspension for refusing to take the field sobriety test.<\/p>\n<h3>Recent Struggles for Tony Ferguson<\/h3>\n<p>The former UFC lightweight champion has lost his last five fights and currently holds a 25-8 record. He most recently lost to Nate Diaz by submission on Sept. 10, 2022, in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>One of the cars Ferguson allegedly crashed into reportedly belonged to rapper Cash Gotti, who posted a video of his damaged Mercedes on his Instagram story.<\/p>\n<h3>Domestic Incidents and Mental Health Concerns<\/h3>\n<p>Ferguson\u2019s wife, Cristina Servin, filed for a restraining order against him in 2019, later claiming it was an attempt to get him mental health help. Servin dropped the restraining order a month later.<\/p>\n<p>Police had responded to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ufc-fighter-tony-ferguson-arrested-for-dui-in-hollywood-after-his-truck-flips-hitting-parked-cars\/\" title=\"Tony Ferguson, UFC fighter, arrested for DUI in Hollywood after flipping his truck and hitting parked cars.\">multiple domestic incidents prior<\/a> to her filing for the restraining order, including accusations of threats that made Servin leave their home and Ferguson changing locks in their home after taking their 2-year-old son.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTony Ferguson is a good husband and good father to our son,\u201d Servin said in a 2019 statement. \u201cThe current legal proceedings are a part of a process to ensure that Tony will receive the help necessary to continue being the best possible, as well as to pursue his passion and career as a UFC champion fighter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ferguson won the lightweight title with a submission victory over Kevin Lee in 2017 but was stripped of his belt shortly afterward after being unable to fight due to an injury.
