Kennedy, in 1963. <\/p>\n<p>Many theories have circulated for decades about JFK\u2019s assassination, with some speculating that the CIA, former President Lyndon B. Johnson, the mafia, the Soviet KGB, Jackie Onassis Kennedy, or the Fidel Castro regime\u2014or some combination thereof\u2014were involved in his death. <\/p>\n<h3>Overwhelming Evidence<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cThere is overwhelming evidence that the CIA was involved in his murder. I think it\u2019s beyond a reasonable doubt at this point,\u201d Kennedy said about the November 1963 incident in Dallas, Texas. \u201cThe evidence is overwhelming that the CIA was involved in the murder, and in the cover-up,\u201d he also said. <\/p>\n<p>Kennedy referenced the book, \u201cJFK and the Unspeakable,\u201d penned by James Douglas, for some of his assertions. The book theorized that Kennedy was assassinated because he sought peacemaking during the Cold War and was then killed by his own security apparatus. <\/p>\n<h3>Government Conclusion<\/h3>\n<p>The federal government concluded during its Warren Commission Report that shooter Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone suspect in the assassination. They said there was no credible evidence to suggest that he was part of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/robert-kennedy-jr-blames-cia-for-assassination-of-jfk\/\" title=\"RFK Jr. accuses CIA of JFK's assassination.\">wider assassination conspiracy<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Oswald was shot and killed by alleged Chicago mob associate Jack Ruby two days after Oswald was accused of the assassination. Ruby would be later convicted of the murder and sentenced to death, but he died in prison several years later. <\/p>\n<h3>CIA Denial<\/h3>\n<p>The CIA has long denied any involvement in the former president\u2019s death. An article published on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/uk-spy-chief-iran-stands-with-china-russia-at-top-of-threat-list\/\" title=\"UK Spy Chief: Iran Stands with China, Russia at Top of Threat List\">intelligence agency\u2019<\/a>s website (pdf) says that it was a \u201clie\u201d that connected the CIA \u201cto the Kennedy assassination,\u201d alleging it was part of a Soviet KGB \u201cdisinformation\u201d campaign and then cast aspersions against director Oliver Stone\u2019s 1991 film \u201cJFK, \u201d which strongly suggested that the CIA and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/treasury-department-hit-with-large-scale-breach-national-security-council-now-involved\/\" title=\"Treasury Department Hit with Large-Scale Breach, National Security Council Now Involved\">federal officials<\/a> may have been involved in the assassination. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfounded assertions of CIA complicity were bolstered inadvertently by a series of investigations of the Intelligence Community in the 1970s. The 1975 Rockefeller Commission report was followed by the 1976 report of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the 1979 report of the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA),\u201d that article stated. <\/p>\n<p>The Epoch Times has contacted the CIA for comment. <\/p>\n<h3>Other Claims<\/h3>\n<p>Kennedy Jr.\u2019s claims on Sunday are just the latest in a long line of theories about JFK\u2019s assassination.
