Fox demands that Media Matters cease and desist from distribution, publication, and misuse of Fox\u2019s misappropriated proprietary footage, which you are now on notice was unlawfully obtained. We reserve all rights and remedies.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The footage\u00a0includes Carlson making jokes with members of his staff. In one clip, on the set of his Fox Nation show, \u201cTucker Carlson Today,\u201d Carlson said, \u201cI can never assess my appearance. I wait for my postmenopausal fans to weigh in on that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In another video, Carlson blasted the company\u2019s on-demand subscription service, Fox Nation.<\/p>\n<h3>Public Figures Weigh In<\/h3>\n<p>Numerous public figures have weighed in on the leaked footage.<\/p>\n<p>Journalist Megyn Kelly, a former primetime Fox News anchor, blamed her previous employer for leaking the footage, specifically.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u201cAsk yourself about my theory that this is Fox News doing it to him, that it\u2019s Irina Briganti, who sat there calling through his commercial downtime to look for anything,\u201d<\/b> said Kelly, referring to Fox News\u2019 senior executive vice president of corporate communications.<\/p>\n<p>Bill O\u2019Reilly, who preceded Carlson in Fox News\u2019 8 p.m. ET weeknight slot, said on NewsNation on May 3 that the leaking was most likely by someone at Fox News in order to make Carlson look like \u201ca racist villain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fox has refuted allegations of its involvement in the leaks. <b>\u201cThis is completely false and an outright lie,\u201d<\/b> a spokesman said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fox Corporation, the parent company of Fox News, has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Media Matters for America (MMFA) over the left-wing media watchdog publicizing leaked footage of former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson.
