Paxton issued a Request to Examine (\u201cRTE\u201d) to the hospital, demanding that they turn over information and answer questions about the alleged activities.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201cTransgender Extremism\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cIt is now alarmingly common for fringe activists to use their positions in medicine and health care to force experimental, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/parents-lawsuit-claims-12-year-olds-suicide-attempts-occurred-after-secret-gender-identity-meetings-with-school-staff\/\" title=\"Parents Lawsuit Claims 12-Year-Old\u2019s Suicide Attempts Occurred After Secret Gender Identity Meetings with School Staff\">life-altering procedures<\/a> onto children,\u201d Paxton said in a statement. \u201cAcross the country, there are doctors and health care professionals who appear willing to sacrifice the long-term health of American children, all in service to the increasingly dangerous fad of \u2018transgender\u2019 extremism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is deeply disturbing, and there is no place for it in Texas,\u201d Paxton added. \u201cAlong these lines, there have been a number of recent reports about potentially illegal activity at Dell Children\u2019s Medical Center, and this investigation aims to uncover the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>\u201cAbusive Practices\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>Paxton\u2019s investigation comes after investigative group Project Veritas published an undercover video on April 19 that appears to show medical officials at the hospital admitting to treating children as young as eight for gender confusion they claim is transgenderism, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/texas-ag-launches-probe-into-medical-center-over-potential-illegal-trans-procedures-on-minors\/\" title=\"Texas AG investigates medical center for possible illegal transgender procedures on minors.\">recommending life-altering puberty blockers<\/a>\u00a0for a 10-year-old, and cross-sex hormones for minors as young as 14.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do have patients who are starting [transition] as young as 8, 9 [years old],\u201d says Nora Scott, a licensed social worker at Austin-based Dell Children\u2019s Medical Center, according to Project Veritas.<\/p>\n<p>Dell Children\u2019s Medical Center responded to Paxton\u2019s investigation by claiming in-part:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our organization prohibits surgery and prescribing hormone therapy, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gov-abbott-to-texas-agencies-investigate-sex-change-procedures-for-trans-youths-as-child-abuse\/\" title=\"Gov Abbott to Texas Agencies: Investigate \u201cSex Change\u201d Procedures for Trans Youths as Child Abuse\">including puberty blockers<\/a>, for the treatment of gender dysphoria in children and adolescents. If any employee or contracted provider acts in a manner that is inconsistent with our organizational position regarding gender dysphoria care of minors, we take appropriate action.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cDell Children\u2019s responded to my investigation and said they don\u2019t engage in these abusive practices,\u201d Paxton said. \u201cTheir cooperation is welcomed. I look forward to reviewing all requested documents. This is a win for Texas kids, but I won\u2019t back down. As Reagan said, \u2018Trust, but Verify.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>\u201cHorrific\u201d Practices<\/h3>\n<p>Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) also slammed the hospital during an interview late last month on Newsmax, saying what the undercover video showed was \u201chorrific.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think a child that is eight years old, does not have the maturity to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trans-doctor-admits-to-surgically-sculpting-vagina-on-trans-16-year-old\/\" title=\"Trans Doctor Admits To Surgically Sculpting Vagina On Trans 16-Year-Old\">make permanent life-altering decisions<\/a>,\u201d he said. \u201cWe see institutions across the country performing genital mutilation, performing surgeries where they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cruz-slams-hospital-for-allegedly-giving-puberty-blockers-and-suppressors-to-children-as-young-as-8\/\" title=\"Cruz Slams Hospital For Allegedly Giving \u2018Puberty Blockers And Suppressors To Children As Young As 8\u2019\">remove perfectly healthy genitals<\/a> from children, little boys or little girls, making them no longer able to have children for the rest of their lives.
