The Collin County sheriff confirmed that the shooter was dead at the scene and that there were multiple victims, including children. Texas DPS and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives joined local authorities on the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The Allen Police Department confirmed that nine victims were transported to the hospital, and there are fatalities, but the exact number is unknown. Police also stated that the shooter acted alone.
