We\u2019re so thrilled but not surprised that those individuals who funded the [film\u2019s prints and advertising] are seeing a return.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harmon said the studio would be sending a notification to investors regarding how they can receive their 120% payout.<\/p>\n<p>Film review site Rotten Tomatoes featured a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/critics-vs-america-the-chasm-grows-wider\/\" title=\"Critics vs. America: The Chasm Grows Wider\">critics\u2019 score<\/a> of 80% with comments that suggested His Only Son is \u201cnot material for an epic,\u201d while others called the film \u201cmesmerizing.\u201d Audience members, however, have given the film a 97% score.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t set out to do Christian films,\u201d director David Helling told the Washington Examiner. \u201cI set out to do biblical films because they\u2019re for the sake of the gospel \u2014 not the typical Hallmark with a Jesus tinge over it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The film, which depicts the biblical account of Abraham and his son Isaac, premiered in theaters on March 31.
