The analysis conducted over a two-week period (March 9-22, 2023) found that a whopping 83 percent of the news articles displayed on Bing News&#8217; homepage &#8220;were from media outlets on the left.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Unbalanced Perspective<\/h3>\n<p>AllSides CEO John Gable blasted Bing for its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-releases-list-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-and-it-is-historic\/\" title=\"White House Releases List of President Trump\u2019s Accomplishments \u2013  And It Is Historic!\">egregious bias<\/a>, stating that &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/study-shows-bings-leftist-bias-just-as-awful-as-googles\/\" title=\"Bing has the same leftist bias as Google, according to a recent study.\">people completely underestimate<\/a> the dangers of bias when it comes to search engines. They think they are getting balanced information, and they&#8217;re not.&#8221; The study also found that Bing&#8217;s homepage displayed zero news sources rated Right or Lean Right by AllSides, and only 13 percent of the sources displayed were from the center.<\/p>\n<p>The latest statistics expose Bing as being just as bad as Google in terms of the skewed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pinkerton-are-we-prepared-for-cyber-war\/\" title=\"PINKERTON: Are We Prepared For Cyber War?\">news items<\/a> they peddle to their audiences. AllSides released an analysis of Google News in February showing that 61 percent of the news items displayed on Google News&#8217; homepage were from the &#8220;left,&#8221; while only three percent were from the &#8220;right&#8221; across a five-day period before the 2022 midterms (Oct. 31, 2022 &#8211; November 4, 2022).<\/p>\n<h3>Dangerous Implications<\/h3>\n<p>AllSides didn&#8217;t mince words when it noted the dangerous implications of its assessment, stating that &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/diet-google-duckduckgo-will-down-rank-what-it-decides-is-disinformation\/\" title=\"Diet Google: DuckDuckGo Will 'Down-Rank' What It Decides Is 'Disinformation'\">biased search results<\/a> have a grave impact on our understanding of the world around us. When we don&#8217;t have the full picture and cannot access the full scope of views, we are more likely to polarize against one another. Heavily biased search tools harm our democratic society, our communities, and our families.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Impact on Search Terms<\/h3>\n<p>Bing&#8217;s egregious bias showed through even more explicitly when AllSides applied certain search terms. The search term which unveiled the most left-wing results was none other than &#8220;abortion.&#8221; News items that the group identified as &#8220;left&#8221; made up 63 percent of Bing&#8217;s curated results on abortion while only a paltry 9 percent of the results came from sources identified as &#8220;right.&#8221; The search term &#8220;economy&#8221; yielded the least amount of right-leaning sources at only 6 percent, according to AllSides, compared to 34 percent of the results being from sources on the &#8220;left.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It looks like Bing News is following Google News&#8217; lead with its demonstrably nonexistent veneer of neutrality.
