Gardner faced allegations of negligence, including too many crimes going unpunished and relatives of victims not being notified in many cases. Her resignation letter, which was made public on Twitter, said that \u201cpeople outside the city\u201d had \u201ctargeted\u201d both her and the \u201cfundamental rights of the city\u2019s voters.\u201d Gardner added that her resignation was in effort to protect her residents\u2019 rights to vote, claiming that political legislation may take away the city\u2019s right to choose its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/philly-da-enjoyed-european-excursion-as-homicides-spiked\/\" title=\"Philly DA Enjoyed European Excursion as Homicides Spiked\">circuit attorney<\/a> and that outside supervision efforts have damaged the office.<\/p>\n<h3>Parson&#8217;s Statement<\/h3>\n<p>Parson has released a statement that he will immediately begin looking for a replacement and that he is \u201ccommitted to finding a candidate who represents the community, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/soros-backed-prosecutor-kim-gardner-resigns-amid-pressure-from-state-attorney-general\/\" title=\"Kim Gardner, a prosecutor supported by Soros, steps down due to pressure from the state attorney general.\">values public safety<\/a>, and can help restore faith in the City\u2019s criminal justice system.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Impact of Gardner&#8217;s Tenure<\/h3>\n<p>During her tenure in office, Gardner had made headlines for pursuing a lawsuit against Republican former Missouri Governor Eric Greitens. The prosecutor claimed that Greitens had tried to extort money from a former mistress using a lewd photo he had taken during their extramarital affair. Gardner subsequently admitted that she had never actually seen the photo herself. However, Greitens still confessed to the affair, resigned from his position, and denied any criminal culpability. Before the case reached trial, Gardner ultimately dropped all charges. Later, she appeared before a state legal tribunal and acknowledged feeling guilt in the case.<\/p>\n<p>Greitens celebrated news of Gardner\u2019s resignation on Twitter, saying, \u201cFinally, justice.
