Comer expressed concern about Kerry&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wednesday-december-1st-2021\/\" title=\"Wednesday | December 1st, 2021\">high-profile role<\/a> within the Biden administration and his position in the negotiations, as he has not been confirmed by the Senate.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comer launched a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/constitutional-crisis-or-political-war\/\" title=\"Constitutional Crisis or Political War\">congressional investigation<\/a> into Kerry&#8217;s work in February and sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken last week.<\/li>\n<li>The letter requested details about Kerry&#8217;s work on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/elon-musk-i-got-a-covid-test-four-times-in-one-day-two-came-back-negative-two-came-back-positive-the-daily-wire\/\" title=\"Elon Musk: I Got A COVID Test Four Times In One Day. \u2018Two Came Back Negative, Two Came Back Positive.\u2019 | The Daily Wire\">climate change<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The Biden administration has been secretive when it comes to specifics on Kerry&#8217;s role since his appointment in 2021.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;For the past two years, the Biden administration has withheld information on John Kerry\u2019s role within the administration despite the committee\u2019s many requests,&#8221; Comer told Fox News. &#8220;He was not confirmed by the Senate. He is not held accountable by the American people. He is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-oversight-chairman-james-comer-accuses-biden-admin-official-kerry-of-shady-negotiations\/\" title=\"Comer accuses Kerry of shady negotiations.\">skirting congressional oversight<\/a> and that is unacceptable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Comer continued: &#8220;His reported upcoming negotiations with the Chinese on climate topics, an action which he has done on numerous occasions, is inappropriate and potentially undermines U.S. interests and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/psaki-dodges-question-about-laid-off-pipeline-workers-green-jobs\/\" title=\"Psaki Dodges Question About Laid-Off Pipeline Workers, Green Jobs\">domestic energy security<\/a>. Mr. Kerry\u2019s continued engagement in shady negotiations will be met with intense scrutiny by the committee.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>State Department Confirms Kerry&#8217;s Climate Conversations with China<\/h3>\n<p>The State Department confirmed that Kerry restarted his conversation on climate with China in April and will be meeting with Chinese officials in person in the future to continue negotiations. The department said both parties agree climate is a &#8220;global crisis,&#8221; and will keep climate separate from topics that the countries disagree on.<\/p>\n<h3>Kerry&#8217;s Background and Role<\/h3>\n<p>Prior to his appointment, Kerry served as former President Barack Obama&#8217;s Secretary of State from 2013 to 2017. He is the first person to hold the climate envoy position.
