Led by Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, the officials penned a letter to Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, demanding that the bank stop such behavior immediately.<\/p>\n<p>According to the letter, Chase has &#8220;persistently discriminated against certain customers due to their religious or political affiliation.&#8221; The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/two-states-investigating-nfl-over-workplace-bias-and-harassment-allegations\/\" title=\"2 states probe NFL for workplace bias and harassment claims.\">attorneys general cited<\/a> the de-banking of a prominent religious liberty organization and at least two other similar incidents as evidence of this discrimination.<\/p>\n<p>The National Committee for Religious Freedom, which includes members of various faiths, allegedly had its checking account shut down by Chase just weeks after opening it. Additionally, Chase&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gops-attorneys-general-accuse-jp-morgan-of-discriminating-against-people-on-political-and-religious-grounds\/\" title=\"GOP AGs accuse JP Morgan of political and religious discrimination.\">credit card processor terminated<\/a> the account of the conservative, pro-life Family Council in 2021. Chase&#8217;s WePay also allegedly refused to provide services to a conservative group, only reversing the decision after pressure from Missouri&#8217;s treasurer.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/state-ags-call-on-unilever-to-reverse-ben-and-jerrys-israel-boycott\/\" title=\"State AGs Call on Unilever To Reverse Ben and Jerry\u2019s Israel Boycott\">attorneys general warn<\/a> that this pattern of discrimination puts many Americans at risk of being de-banked without notice or recourse. They demand that Chase align its business practices with its proclaimed anti-discrimination policies.<\/p>\n<h3>Attorneys General Demand Action<\/h3>\n<p>The attorneys general who signed the letter hail from Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and West Virginia.
