Katie Porter (D.) in Congress, was arrested this week for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nurse-dead-4-others-injured-in-shooting-at-minn-clinic\/\" title=\"Nurse dead, 4 others injured in shooting at Minn. clinic\">drunk driving<\/a> while dangerously driving a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/a-year-of-homecooking-led-me-to-make-mac-cheetos-and-mountain-dew-chicken-on-the-same-day\/\" title=\"A Year of Homecooking Led Me To Make Mac &#038; Cheetos and Mountain Dew Chicken on the Same Day\">state car<\/a>, according to the police report.<\/p>\n<p>Officers pulled over Min near the state Capitol in downtown Sacramento late Tuesday night after they observed him running a red light in a silver Toyota Camry with the headlights off. Min allegedly stopped briefly at the traffic signal and then continued through the intersection while the light was still red.<\/p>\n<p>In the hours ahead of Min&#8217;s arrest, photographs posted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/stranded-suez-canal-cargo-ship-partially-freed\/\" title=\"Stranded Suez Canal Cargo Ship Partially Freed\">social media showed<\/a> him schmoozing with lobbyists at two events, at least one of which had bar service.<\/p>\n<p>After Min was released from police custody Wednesday, he broke the news of his DUI arrest in a Facebook post, saying, &#8220;I know I need to do better.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Later Wednesday, Min was photographed addressing California realtors from behind a well-stocked bar.<\/p>\n<h3>Reckless Behavior Sparks Calls to Drop Out<\/h3>\n<p>Min, whom Porter endorsed in the race for her seat, has already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-orders-flags-at-half-mast-for-fallen-capitol-officers\/\" title=\"Trump Orders Flags at Half-Mast for Fallen Capitol Officers\">faced calls<\/a> to drop out over his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/momentum-grows-in-congress-to-boycott-beijing-olympics\/\" title=\"Momentum Grows in Congress to Boycott Beijing Olympics\">reckless behavior<\/a>. &#8220;Drunk Dave Min arrested for driving under the influence. He should stop running for Congress and sober up,&#8221; read the headline of a Wednesday opinion article in the Orange County Register, his local newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the controversy, Min has the backing of leading California Democrats, including U.S. Reps. Judy Chu, Mark Takano, and Andy Kim and California attorney general Rob Bonta.
