On Monday afternoon, Neely was seen yelling and pacing back and forth on an F train in Manhattan. According to witnesses, Neely \u201cwas threatening riders and saying \u2018I\u2019m ready to go back to jail\u2019 and \u2018I\u2019ll hurt anyone.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Neely, who had over 40 prior arrests four being for assault along with an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fact-check-viral-image-claims-daunte-wright-had-an-arrest-warrant-for-a-marijuana-related-fine\/\" title=\"FACT CHECK: Viral Image Claims Daunte Wright Had An Arrest Warrant For A Marijuana-Related Fine\">active arrest warrant<\/a>, was then restrained and put in a chokehold by a former United States Marine who was also riding the train, while two other passengers also tried to restrain his arms. Neely lost consciousness and was transported to a hospital when EMTs were unable to revive him, he was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nyc-mayor-and-aoc-attack-each-other-over-death-of-jordan-neely\/\" title=\"NYC mayor and AOC feud over Jordan Neely's death.\">declared dead shortly<\/a> after. The New York City Medical Examiner\u2019s Office then ruled the death a homicide that was caused by pressure to the neck. The Marine veteran was taken into custody, but ultimately released without charges.<\/p>\n<h3>Mayor Adams Responds to AOC&#8217;s Remarks<\/h3>\n<p>New York City Mayor Eric Adams released a press statement addressing the situation. \u201cAny loss of life is tragic. There\u2019s a lot we don\u2019t know about what happened here, so I\u2019m going to refrain from commenting further,\u201d Adams said. \u201cHowever, we do know that there were serious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/9-year-old-girl-pepper-sprayed-during-interaction-with-rochester-police\/\" title=\"9-Year-Old Girl Pepper Sprayed During Interaction With Rochester Police\">mental health issues<\/a> in play here, which is why our administration has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/florida-marks-30-consecutive-months-of-job-growth\/\" title=\"Florida Marks 30 Consecutive Months of Job Growth\">made record investments<\/a> in providing care to those who need it and getting people off the streets and the subways, and out of dangerous situations. And I need all elected officials and advocacy groups to join s in prioritizing getting people the care they need and not just allowing them to languish.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Around the same time on Wednesday, Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter to attack the Mayor for his remarks and called the death of Neely a \u201cmurder.\u201d Responding to the Mayor\u2019s statement, she said that \u201cit feels like a new low\u201d to not \u201cclearly condemn a public murder.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>DA&#8217;s Office to Review Medical Examiner&#8217;s Report<\/h3>\n<p>Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg\u2019s office has promised to review the Medical Examiner\u2019s report along with the footage from the incident, and eye witness reports. \u201cThis is a solemn and serious matter that ended in the tragic loss of Jordan Neely\u2019s life,\u201d Bragg\u2019s office said in a statement. \u201cThis investigation is being handled by senior, experienced prosecutors and we will provide an update when there is additional public information to share.
