Chuck Grassley: DOJ and FBI Must Cooperate with Subpoena or Damage Credibility<\/h2>\n<p>Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/charles-grassley\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chuck Grassley<\/a> (R-IA) has warned that the Department of Justice and FBI will further damage their credibility if they do not cooperate with a subpoena from lawmakers to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oversight-cmte-sets-sights-on-environmental-justice-program\/\" title=\"Oversight Cmte sets sights on environmental justice program\">produce documents related<\/a> to a report that they received from a whistleblower about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senator-grassley-fbi-and-doj-will-damage-their-credibility-further-if-they-dont-cooperate-with-subpoena\/\" title=\"Grassley warns FBI and DOJ to cooperate with subpoena or risk credibility damage.\">alleged criminal activity involving<\/a> then-Vice President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<h3>Explosive Allegations<\/h3>\n<p>Grassley and House Committee on Oversight James Comer (R-KY) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/whistleblower-alleges-fbi-has-evidence-of-biden-engaging-in-bribery-scheme-with-foreign-national\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray that \u201cit has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/are-covid-case-surges-more-fake-news\/\" title=\"Are COVID Case Surges More Fake News?\">policy decisions<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Grassley repeatedly doubled down on the source that gave him the information, saying that it came from \u201cvery credible sources within the department.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Grassley said that he was fearful that the unclassified document contains information that is so explosive that the administration could have it classified and try to keep it out of the hands of Congress.<\/p>\n<h3>Transparency and Credibility<\/h3>\n<p>Garland told Fox News\u2019 \u201cAmerica Reports\u201d that \u201cif the Justice Department and the FBI have any hopes of redeeming their once trusted position with the American people, Garland and Wray must answer this subpoena and tell us what they\u2019re doing with this information that we think is very credible based upon what whistleblowers are telling us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Grassley said that he expects the document to be \u201cvery difficult to get\u201d because of how \u201cexplosive\u201d it is, and that \u201cthe American people deserve transparency from the FBI.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Grassley said that if the FBI and DOJ do not produce the records, it hurts their credibility. \u201cI would hope they\u2019d want to enhance their credibility by cooperating with us on this,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h3>Download the Daily Wire App<\/h3>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><a class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-7429\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILY WIRE APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sen.
