The lawsuit, filed by Gateway Pundit founder Jim Hoft and Co-Director of Health Freedom Louisiana Jill Hines, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lawsuit-shows-governments-hands-all-over-the-election-integrity-partnerships-censorship-campaign\/\" title=\"Gov't involved in Election Integrity Partnership's censorship campaign, lawsuit reveals.\">details extensive direct<\/a> and indirect government involvement with the defendants\u2019 censorship activities, allegedly making the private entities and individuals \u201cstate actors\u201d for purposes of the Constitution.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-378014795\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The complaint, which spans 88 pages, highlights the government\u2019s alleged connection to the defendants\u2019 censorship activities. Here are the key points:<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Bit About the Defendants<\/h2>\n<p>The Election Integrity Partnership (EIP) was formed in 2020 and describes itself as a partnership \u201cbetween four of the nation\u2019s leading institutions focused on understanding misinformation and disinformation in the social media landscape.\u201d The Virality Project was launched in early 2021 to address supposed Covid-19 \u201cmisinformation\u201d on social media. Both EIP and the Virality Project pushed Big Tech companies to censor speech. The institutions involved in the EIP and Virality Project are private entities, and the individuals running those institutions are non-governmental actors. Thus, without more, the censorship efforts would not implicate the First Amendment.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Alleged Conspiracy<\/h2>\n<p>However, the complaint alleges that there was more \u2014 much more \u2014 a conspiracy between the defendants.
