According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pizzolatto will use the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/6-blockbuster-movies-hollywood-changed-to-appease-china\/\" title=\"6 Blockbuster Movies Hollywood Changed to Appease China\">original script<\/a> by Michael Starrbury as a jumping-off point. Starrbury&#8217;s script was allegedly ripped off from Underworld and was &#8220;laughably woke in a particularly distasteful way.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Pizzolatto and Mahershala Ali Reunite for Blade<\/h3>\n<p>Pizzolatto previously worked with Blade star Mahershala Ali on the third season of True Detective, wherein the actor starred as detective Wayne Hays. Marvel&#8217;s hiring of someone who knows how to work with Ali gives credence to previous rumors which suggested that the film&#8217;s troubles were in part the result of the actor&#8217;s frustration with not being the &#8216;center&#8217; of the production.<\/p>\n<h3>Blade&#8217;s Plot and Release Date<\/h3>\n<p>Official details regarding the film&#8217;s plot have yet to be released in any capacity. However, a supposed leak of the film&#8217;s script suggests that it will not only see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/marvel-signs-true-detective-creator-nic-pizzolatto-to-rewrite-struggling-blade-movie-reboot\/\" title=\"Marvel hires \"True Detective\" creator Nic Pizzolatto to revamp \"Blade\" movie reboot.\">titular hero relegated<\/a> to a mere ensemble member in his own solo film, but that its events will take place entirely in service of setting up his daughter, Alex, as his successor.
